Here at Tom’s Guitar Shop, tucked away in the maze of Greenwich Market, we’ve got something truly regal hanging on the wall, a 1993 Gretsch White Falcon G7593.
This is no reissue gimmick, it’s the real-deal, Japanese-made pre-Fender Falcon from the revered Terada factory and it’s every bit as majestic as its name suggests.
Finished in that unmistakable white-over-gold livery, this single-cut, fully hollow 17″ body guitar is dripping with vintage charm and dressed to impress with gold-plated hardware, sparkling binding and a gold plexi pickguard proudly bearing the falcon emblem. It’s the kind of guitar that makes people stop in their tracks and then start imagining themselves on stage under a spotlight. But this beauty isn’t just for show. Under the hood are two Filter’Tron pickups delivering that unmistakable Gretsch clarity, twang, and growl whether you’re comping jazzy chords, picking out rockabilly licks, or soaking in reverb for dreamier sounds.
The ebony fretboard, bound neck and Bigsby tailpiece make this a player’s instrument as much as a collector’s prize. This particular Falcon is in excellent condition for its age, with just light playwear, the gold plating has aged gracefully in that classic way only Falcons can. Comes with its original Gretsch plush-lined hard case which is almost as stunning as the guitar itself.
